In GymMaster, memberships can be grouped at the Membership Type Category level. Grouping memberships together offers both usability and functional benefits, making it easier to manage, report, and apply consistent settings across similar membership types.
Why Group Memberships?
Here are some common reasons to group your memberships under a category:
Reporting – Run reports on all memberships within the same category at once
Tax Requirements – Apply a different tax rate for all memberships in the category
Online Signup Sorting – Organise and group memberships logically for members signing up online
Maintenance Fee – Apply a maintenance fee to all memberships in the category
Bluetooth Token Assignment – Automatically assign a Bluetooth token to members signing up online, for access control purposes
Sign & Complete – Enable this to assist with in-person signups with staff, ensuring the applicable paperwork is completed
How to Group Memberships
Go to Settings > Membership Types > Membership Type Categories
Create a new category, or edit an existing one
Configure the category settings as needed
Assign your membership types to this category when creating or editing them
Once set, all memberships in the category will inherit these shared properties, making management and reporting much easier.
