Membership Price Changes

Prices are always changing. As operating costs go up, you may need to review you membership fees. Thankfully, GymMaster makes updating your prices easy!

Simply save your new Membership Fee on your Membership Type configuration page, then follow the prompts.

You'll get the option to choose whether this change applies to New Membership Only, or New and Existing Members

When applying the change to your existing members, there are a few extra options. You can schedule the price change for a future date, and may have some members to review.

There are certain members that are excluded by default when updating prices. You should review these members and select those you wish to include. Generally these are members that have a special or legacy membership fee, or are still within their minimum term.

Check the preview at the bottom of the modal to confirm the effects of your price change.

Considerations

Some handy tips to keep in mind when you're doing your price changes

  • Fair warning. Communication is everything! Ensure your members know the price change is coming, and have sufficient warning.
  • Contracts. Your contracts should include a clause that allows you to alter your Membership Agreements, including the price, with enough warning.
  • Stay competitive. Check the prices of your competition, and keep this in mind when deciding on your new prices.
  • Future proof. Try not to adjust your prices too often, as this can lead to cancellations. Pick a new price that will keep you competitive for the foreseeable future.
