One of the booking types supported by GymMaster is a Service. Services are designed for booking one-on-one sessions or small group sessions
Some common examples include Personal Training, Massage Therapy, Nutrition Coaching & Small Group Training (e.g. 2–4 clients with one coach)
Step 1: Create the Service Type
To set up a class type, navigate to :
Settings > Booking and Classes > Service > + Add Service
You can think of this as a template for the Service, which is used when the service is added to the schedule.
Step 2: Configure the Service Settings
When setting up a Service, there are a number of fields to configure. Hovering over each field in GymMaster will show a tooltip with more detail, but here are the main sections:
Service Details
Set the basic information for your class:
Name of the Service
Grouping the Service belongs to (optional, these all belong to one service category by default)
Default Booking Length
Service is For
Here, you’ll determine how the service interacts with membership type benefits.
For example, you can decide whether the service is free for all memberships with an applicable benefit, or whether a base price applies.
Refer to the tooltips in this section for a breakdown of each option.
Restrictions
Set any special requirements for attending this class, such as age restrictions.
Online Bookings
Decide whether this service can be booked online. In this section, you can :
Enable online booking for members
Add a description to display online
Set how far in advance bookings can be made
Next Steps
Once your service type is created, you’ll need to add blocks of available time to the schedule, so members can see, and book online.
