Member Denied Entry

If a member is being denied entry at your facility, their pop-up will appear in red. If the access attempt was made at a physical door, the door will not unlock. This pop-up is your first clue as to why access was denied.

If you missed the pop-up or want to check again later, you can view all recent access attempts in the Visitors section, found in the left-hand menu of GymMaster.

To be granted access, the member must:

  • Have a current membership, and

  • Have a Bluetooth Access Token or Fob assigned to their account

  • That membership must provide access to the door they’re attempting access on

Note : There is also booking based facility access, information around this can be found here

Common Reasons for Access Denial

There are a few key reasons a member might be denied access at the door. Below are the most common ones, along with how to resolve them :

Granted
No action required—access has been allowed, and a visit has been logged.

New Key Fob / Unassigned Key Fob
This key tag hasn’t been assigned to a member yet.
See : How to assign a Key Fob

Incomplete Membership
The membership setup is incomplete—action is required before it can be used.
See : Completing a Membership

Overdue Account
The member owes more than the allowed limit at your facility.
You can adjust this limit under:
Settings > Advanced Configuration > Door Readers > Stop After Owe - Amount

Expired
The member has a visit-based membership and has used up all available visits.
They’ll need to purchase another pack to regain access.

No Door Membership Benefits
Their membership type doesn’t grant access to this door.
See : Setting up Door Benefits

Outside of Membership Benefit Door Time
The member is trying to access the facility outside the times allowed by their door benefit.
