GymMaster lets you link members so that one member pays for another member’s charges. This is handy for partners, corporations, or families. Each member can still have their own memberships, bookings, and POS purchases, but only one member needs to have billing information on file.
Note : You can link members without setting up payment responsibilities if you just want to track relationships.
Terminology
Master Member – The member that other members are linked to. This is the member who will be paying for the others.
Child Member – Each member linked to the master member.
Note : This is a one-to-many relationship. A master can have multiple child members, but the system won’t allow cycles.
Linking Members
Go to the profile of the member you want to be the master.
Scroll down and expand Member Actions on the left.
Select Linked Members.
On the linked members page, you can either:
Link an existing member, or
Add a new member and link them to the master.
After selecting the member to link, you’ll go through a 3-step process to set the linking behaviour:
Step 1 – Define the relationship
Choose the relationship type and specify which charges (if any) the master member will be paying for.
Step 2 – Shared membership settings
If the members are sharing a membership, choose whether it is shared. This is optional.
Step 3 – Confirm details
Review and confirm the link setup before saving.
Verification
Once the linking is set up, both members’ profiles will display a Linked Members card below their profile picture. This card shows:
The relationship type between the members
The payment arrangements in place
Any outstanding balances
Billing Preview
When a member is paying for another member, their Billing Preview will show :
Their own charges, and
Any charges incurred by their child members, referencing the child member's ID.
To preview billing:
Navigate to the Accounts and Billing tab of the master member's profile.
Click Preview.
