One of the booking types supported by GymMaster is a Class. Classes are designed for booking groups of unaffiliated members into the same session.
Common examples include : Pilates, Spin, Bootcamps and Yoga.
Step 1: Create the Class Type
To set up a class type, navigate to:
Settings > Booking and Classes > + Add Class
You can think of this as a template for the class, which you’ll use whenever adding it to the schedule.
Step 2: Configure the Class Settings
When setting up a class, there are a number of fields to configure. Hovering over each field in GymMaster will show a tooltip with more detail, but here are the main sections:
Class Details
Set the basic information for your class:
Name of the class
Grouping the class belongs to
Duration of the session
Maximum participants allowed
Class is For
Here, you’ll determine how the class interacts with membership type benefits.
For example, you can decide whether the class is free for certain memberships or whether a base price applies.
Refer to the tooltips in this section for a breakdown of each option.
Restrictions
Set any special requirements for attending this class, such as age restrictions.
Online Bookings
Decide whether this class can be booked online. In this section, you can :
Enable online booking for members
Add a description to display online
Set how far in advance bookings can be made
etc.
Next Steps
Once your class type is created, you’ll need to add it to the schedule, so members can see and book it.
